Estación Interurbana de transporte (2013)
Se crea la estación interurbana de transporte en Los Alcarrizos, Santo Domingo. Ésta abarca el tránsito local e interrregional, logrando conectar los servicios del metro, la oficina metropolitana de servicios de autobuses (OMSA), una flotilla de autobuses expresos, una red de minibuses con fines turísticos, servicios de Rent-A-Car y taxis integrados a un área comercial de aproximadamente unos 40 locales y un food court.
El objetivo del proyecto es crear un punto estratégico que conecte diferentes medios de transportes y que funcione al mismo tiempo como conector de la ciudad de Santo Domingo con las demás provincias del país. Asimismo se busca aportar al desarrollo del municipio Los Alcarrizos, contribuir con la vegetación, y por ende, la purificación del aire buscando reducir la contaminación de la zona. Por otro lado, el proyecto pretende ser un hito importante de la ciudad, accesible a todo tipo de público.
The intercity transportation station is created in Los Alcarrizos, Santo Domingo. This covers local and interregional traffic, connecting metro services, the metropolitan bus services office (OMSA), a fleet of express buses, a network of minibuses for touristic purposes, Rent-A-Car services and integrated taxis integrated to a commercial area of approximately 40 stores and a food court.
The objective of the project is to create a strategic point that connects different means of transport and that works at the same time as a connector of the city of Santo Domingo with the other provinces of the country. It also seeks to contribute to the development of Los Alcarrizos, to the vegetation, and therefore, the purification of the air in order to reduce the pollution in the area. On the other hand, the project aims to be an important landmark of the city, accessible to all types of public.
