Con este proyecto se busca crear un mobiliario urbano que funcione a la vez como escultura y que proponga una coexistencia entre fumadores y no fumadores en el espacio público. Se utiliza un recubrimiento textil catalítico, los cuales eliminan más dióxido de nitrogeno (NOx) por área que las superficies arquitectónicas. Para este proyecto elegimos las baldosas textiles "Clouds" for Kvadrat por Ronan y Erwan Bouroullec, las cuales estarán cubiertas por dióxido de titanio catalizador, adherido a la tela por medio a un suavizante. Las partículas catalizadoras sólo se desprenden cuando la tela se desgrada, y pueden ser reañadidas a través del lavado.

This project seeks to create an urban furniture that works both as a sculpture and that proposes a coexistence between smokers and non-smokers in the public space. A catalytic textile coating is used, which removes more nitrogen dioxide (NOx) per area than architectural surfaces. For this project we chose the textile tiles "Clouds" for Kvadrat by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, which will be covered by titanium dioxide catalyst, adhered to the fabric by means of a softener. The catalyst particles are only released when the fabric is disintegrated, and can be re-added through washing.
