PASEO DE ESPARCIMIENTO Y CULTURA (2015)
La zona este de la República Dominicana actualmente cuenta con el mayor desarrollo turístico del país. No obstante, su orientación se centra en turismo de playa. Debido a tal limitante, es necesario ampliar la oferta turística a través de nuevos esquemas de recreación. Bayahibe, localizado en la Provincia de la Altagracia, cuenta con una amplia gama de ofertas dedicadas al ocio y la cultura, por lo que sería un punto estratégico para abrir la puerta al Turismo Cultural. Actualmente hay un déficit de infraestructuras y servicios en el área costera de “Los Melones”. Aquí se concentran los distintos puntos dedicados al turismo, comercio, gastronomía y cultura de la zona. Los mismos son de carácter informal, por lo que no están programados para acaparar la demanda turística creciente. A consecuencia de lo mencionado, se propone un Paseo de Esparcimiento y Cultura en el pueblo de “Los Melones”.
The eastern part of the Dominican Republic currently has the greatest tourist development in the country. However, its orientation focuses on beach tourism. Due to this limitation, it is necessary to expand the tourist offer through new recreation schemes. Bayahibe, located in the Province of Altagracia, has a wide range of offers dedicated to leisure and culture, so it would be a strategic point to open the door of Cultural Tourism. There is currently a deficit of infrastructure and services in the coastal area of "Los Melones". Here the different points devoted to tourism, commerce, gastronomy and culture of the area are concentrated. They are informal, so they are not programmed to monopolize the growing tourist demand. As a result we, a Leisure and Culture Walk is proposed in the town of "Los Melones".
